Saying bye to anyone is always difficult and when it comes to the job you loved, it becomes more painful. Since the pandemic has hit a lot of people including businesses, airlines have also struggled with huge losses and many employees had to leave their jobs due to that. In a similar case, an American Airlines attendant gave an emotional speech in the form of bidding adieu to passengers and her co-employees in her last flight.
Breanna Ross, the attendant, thanked everyone and the crew members for being always nice to her and urged everyone to be compassionate always. In the 3 minutes video, she said, “As all of you know the airline industry has been impacted greatly by this global pandemic. Our routes and flying have been significantly reduced, resulting in our company having an overage in staff. For myself and one other crew member on our flight today, this means we’ll be furloughed Oct. 1 and unfortunately, this was my last working flight before that day comes.”
She claimed that she wouldn’t forget the face of anyone in this flight and this job was an escape from the real world to her. “I will never forget seeing your faces today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness shown on today’s flight. This job was an escape for me after being unhappy with my job after graduating from college. It was a job that awarded me many opportunities. A job that I fell in love with. have been to places I never thought I’d have the opportunity to go and places I never knew existed. I’ve met people from all walks of life and I’ve made friendships that will last the rest of my life,” she added.
Ross also paid her gratitude towards the airlines for trusting her and giving her an opportunity to serve people.
