While talking to one of the media houses about her upcoming schedules and projects, Cynthia Nixon also put her stance and opinion on the ongoing politics and the upcoming elections. She claimed that the coronavirus and the Trump administration has given her a picture of the white supremacy and American.
She also reiterated that all this pandemic and other things have not only shed light on the conservative side of the country but, also given a picture of how retrograde the people are. She said, “Obviously, things are more possible [now] but even though we have more and more women in politics, it’s still a bridge too far for so many voters and it adds a whole other layer of challenge. So much of the election of Donald Trump and the pandemic has exposed not only how deeply conservative a country we are, but how retrograde we are, particularly when it comes to white supremacy.”
Apparently, in the upcoming elections, she expressed her views on Trump’s opposition Joe Biden and said, “I am hopeful. I cannot imagine we would re-elect him. But I could not imagine we would have elected him in the first place. I’m worried he is deliberately trying to provoke unrest and be seen as the law and order candidate, and that will scare people into re-electing him.”
However, Cynthia is not a new face in politics as she had even tried her hands-on in the year 2018 where she ran a campaign against the governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo. Apparently, the campaign was unsuccessful.
