Since the coronavirus pandemic has hit the world, many airlines have been facing issues with passengers complying with the social distancing norms or either altercation over petty issues. The same incident took place with EasyJet when a passenger ended up in a fight twice and was arrested later.
According to reports, the flight was going from London to Turkey where a man was shifted to the front for indulging in a fight with another person over a paper plane, and then he was again cited fighting with a woman. Well, a few passengers claimed that they heard racial words being thrown at the woman by the man but they were not sure as to what led to the complete incident.
The first fight took place when the instigator’s son threw a paper plane on a man who then returned it by crumbling it and he was furious about the whole incident. Also, another fight took place when he was shifted in the front. According to the sources, the police were already waiting for him to arrive.
Meanwhile, a statement from the airlines was also recorded by the media outlets which reads, “We can confirm flight EZY8841 from London Gatwick to Antalya on 8 September was met by police on arrival and a passenger was removed by police as a result of their disruptive behavior onboard. Whilst such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously, and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior onboard. EasyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is our highest priority.”
Apparently, More updates on the same news are awaited.
