According to the latest reports by the astronomers, five asteroids are about to skim past Earth, and the size of one of them is enormous than the Empire State Building, which is one of the tallest building in the world.
Asteroid 1998 HL1 is humongous, and the astronomers say that it will be visible from the Earth. The live streaming of the flypast of the colossal asteroids will be telecasted over YouTube under the Virtual Telescope Project from 6 pm, BST.
Gian Masi, the astronomer, said that we would have a close but safe encounter with the potentially dangerous Asteroid (162082) 1998 HL1, which will pass the Earth at a speed of 6.2 millions of km. People can join to watch the asteroid’s encounter with Earth from their home with the help of the Virtual Telescope Project.
The diameter of the Asteroid 1998 HL1 is about 3248 feet wide, which makes it even taller than the Burj Khalifa. The Asteroid is being expected to make its closest approach to Earth around 6:21 pm, BST. It is likely to shoot past our planet at a speed of 25,076 miles per hours.
