Lindsey Vonn was body shamed and trolled after she posted her photo. Well, she has come up against those body shamers and claimed that she’s struggled a lot to cope up with the confidence after she faced body-shaming comments and slurs on her.
With a lengthy post on Instagram, Lindsey said, “I’ve posted quite a few swimsuit pics lately, which is scarier than it seems. Even as an athlete there are ruthless comments and media stories that tear apart my body and I admit it sometimes hurts me.”
Lindsey informed that she has insecurities like a normal person and made her followers believe that every person has insecurity and tension in his/her life. “I’m a normal person and sometimes I slouch, my stomach folds over, my cellulite shows on my butt, or I don’t fill out my swimsuit top just right. … But I always remember how my body has helped me achieve amazing things in my life, and I am proud of how strong I am,” she added.
She also took a toll on the netizens who claimed that she had gone for a certain kind of surgery or botox. Lindsey reiterated that she hasn’t done anything and her body is 100% natural. By 100% natural, she meant that her body is the same as it was at the time of birth and has only grown into being a young woman (certainly, no artificial product or surgery is used upon).
In the end of her lengthy post, she wrote a motivational post for her fans who might be dealing with the same stuff and said, “Stay strong, stay healthy, and love yourself no matter what the haters say. Special thanks to all of you who have been positive and supportive….let’s keep up the culture of body positivity going.”
