Getting a job has never been an easy task before and since the pandemic has taken over everything, it has led to becoming more complex and hard nut to crack. The same incident took place with a man who had to leave his job due to a pandemic and he finally received an offer letter after posting his resume on the back of a truck (so that it could be seen by recruiters and he could get hired soon).
James Pemblington of Nottinghamshire, England had been out of work since the novel coronavirus had affected the countries and the world. According to the sources, he even applied to various jobs but couldn’t get through any of those, and then, an opportunity knocked on his doors after his resume was posted or showcased on the back of a truck.
Apparently, James got lucky when he won a competition which offered or prized him with his resume on the back of a truck. And that truck’s poster landed him to a job of his choice.
James also shared the news to his social media account and exclaimed that what an amazing CV he had been holding for these many days. His post read, “Wow what a busy 24hrs it’s been, fixed the boiler at home, started getting the house ready for #Halloween and now we’re heading to Channel4 to be a part of @StephLunch @PackedLunchC4 show! Amazing what an Edible and Truck sized CV can do for you!”
According to reports, James got the job after his new employer did spot the poster while in traffic. James gave an interview to a news outlet and said, “I was gutted to be leaving Alton Towers — that was my dream job. But I am a positive person and look on the bright side of things. When I saw the competition to have your CV on the [truck] I thought, ‘That is wicked. It was fantastic but surreal and odd. What else can 2020 throw at you? You have to get a truck-sized CV to get a job.”
