Well, the passing of Alex Trebek has affected a lot of people including his fans and family. The producer of Jeopardy, Mike Richards took a moment to express his feelings and deep condolences over the death of Alex Trebek.
Mike said, “Over the weekend we lost our beloved host Alex Trebek. This is an enormous loss for our staff and crew, for his family, and for his millions of fans. He loved this show and everything it stood for. In fact, he taped his final episodes less than two weeks ago. He will forever be an inspiration for his constant desire to learn, for his kindness and for his love of his family.”
Mike explained how Alex loved the show and brought his laurel to it by his dedication and utmost sincerity. Also, he mentioned that Alex pre-recorded his show days before and wanted to play it in his presence but fate wanted him to forge on a heavenly traverse.
Alex died on November 8, 2020, after deciding a long journey of his battle with cancer. According to the sources, he used to update fans and friends about his health condition by himself, and every move or development about the conditions was recorded by him.
Richards reiterated that Alex was in love with his swing and said, “Even in his book, he described that he wanted his final day to be sitting on his swing next to his wife, Jean, and kind of watching the horizon and he got to do that.”
