Since the day JK Rowling has commented on gender, many stars have come up to speak against or condemn the act by such a famous and inspirational personality. Pete Davidson had earlier mentioned the same in his post but now, he condemned the statement by stating it ‘very disappointing.’
Apparently, the controversy was hit right after JK Rowling said and recommended a news firm to use the word women instead of ‘people who menstruate.’ In the social media post, Pete had claimed both women and ‘people who menstruate’ are the same and there’s no difference between them. Well, in the latest comment, the actor said that he is not going to get another tattoo for the remaining years of his life.
He said, “Don’t get tattoos. I got a ‘Harry Potter’ tattoo years ago because I’m not psychic. I didn’t know J.K. Rowling was going to go all Mel Gibson on us. It really hurt because I have a close connection to those movies. I long for a few years ago when the worst thing she ever did was those ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movies. No discrimination there, those films harmed us all equally. What’s wrong with her? She creates a seven-book fantasy series about all types of mythical creatures living in harmony with wizards and elves and the one thing she can’t wrap her head around is Laverne Cox? She’s a national treasure.”
Meanwhile, almost all the actors of Harry Potter have condemned the comments od JK Rowling and claimed that what she said wasn’t at all good and didn’t comment further on it.
