Sadie Robertson expressed her tensions and emphasized the gravity of the novel pandemic as it took a great toll on her mental and physical well-being. Sadie mentioned that first, her mother suffered from the disease, and then it was her sister or vice-versa. Sadie said that she first believed that it didn’t affect her until her husband began to experience symptoms of fever.
While briefing fans in podcasts, she said, “I actually tested negative but I still didn’t feel good about it, and then Christian got a fever and I was like, ‘Oh no, here it comes. And sure enough, two days later I was full-on COVID.” Robertson claimed that it first started off with a mild or peculiar headache and then went on to different stages and levels. “Like, a different kind of headache than I’ve ever had — it was like a migraine behind my eye. Then I got the cough, my throat was so red and on fire. It was terrible,” she added.
The star then consulted the doctor because she started to feel so weak with the loss of taste and appetite. “Being so weak and so sick and throwing up as much as I was, I got very dehydrated. At this point, when I was dehydrated, my chest pain had gotten really bad. I could barely talk and mom came over and was like, ‘You need to go to the hospital,” Sadie reiterated.
Apparently, she spoke about the darker side of the disease and claimed that nobody had spoken about it even though they faced it. Robertson mentioned that she had developed a feeling of loneliness and said, “All the physical pain on top of the loneliness of it, the isolation of it, makes you feel this depression that is something that I’d never experienced before. I’m not going to lie, I cried a lot.”
