Weight loss is a journey and people often lose their weight to remain healthy and maintain balance. Apparently, a lady from New Zealand lost more than 100 pounds after she was asked by a bridal shop employee to search for her size’s dress somewhere else. That right moment made her lose pounds which were more than 100 even.
DJ Jarman, 30, from Hamilton went shopping at a shop but then she was later asked to look out for another shop because the dresses inside the store weren’t of her size or to say smaller than her size.
Jarman was also contacted by one of the media houses where she said, “I was told by the attendant ‘we definitely won’t have anything in your size here. You’ll need to get a dress specially made. After ten years of being overweight, I’d had enough.”
She also mentioned that she didn’t like public gatherings as people would comment on her body shape and reiterated, “My body had to work so hard every day just to get out of bed, to play with my kids, to do literally anything was the biggest struggle. I hid from the world a lot and would avoid busy places wherever possible. I really became invisible for almost a decade.”
According to Jarman, the bridal shop incident had taken a toll on her, and when she finally decided to lose weight. She tried everything right from dieting to intermittent fasting and keto diet. Well, after years of struggle, she finally made it and lost more than 100 pounds.
She now works out daily and has made a routine out of the same. “I work out every day except Sunday and I love a good cardio session, but also enjoy strength days. I get told every day how amazing I look; it still makes me blush. I’m not very good at taking compliments. Most people are gobsmacked by my weight loss, especially the ones who haven’t seen me since before my operation. The best compliment for me is when people compliment my hard work instead of my looks,” Jarman added.
